The Whitchurch Silk Mill shop has recently taken delivery of exquisite lace, hand made by the survivors of the Tsunami, which devastated Sri Lanka 5 years ago. The lacemakers are desperate to get back on their feet and have formed a cooperative style industry utilising their inherited skills to their best advantage providing them with regular and desperately needed income.
