View of the waterwheel

Whitchurch Silk Mill is a working mill with historic machinery including 13 power looms, winding frames, warping mill and an undershot waterwheel. The waterwheel was installed in 1890 to provide power to all the mill's machinery. The wheel is still operating with the belt drives, pulleys & shafts transfering power to the top floor demonstrating how it was used to power the mill's machines.
